Our shops

Lifeline has over 130 shops in Queensland which sell quality pre-loved and sometimes new products including clothing, toys, appliances and furniture.

Volunteering at a Lifeline Shop

We couldn't run our Lifeline Shops without the help of our incredible volunteers.

 

Across Queensland, we rely on around 2,500 volunteers to help keep our Lifeline Shops going, but we're always looking for more!

 

Lifeline Shops generate the money we need to run our self-funded 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Line, which answers over 170,000 calls every year in Queensland.

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help out at each shop. To become a volunteer in a Lifeline Shop, you would ideally have around four hours a week available. Many of our shops are open 7 days a week and volunteers are needed at all times, even weekends and sometimes evenings! Volunteers really do help the shops run smoothly, knowing we can rely on your help, skills and contribution.

 

Volunteers also help in our warehouses across Queensland with jobs like sorting, categorising, pricing and preparing donations for the shop floor. If you love sorting and organising, and have an eye for fashion, this might be for you!

 

Our volunteers come from every walk of life — of all backgrounds and ability. What everybody has in common is their fantastic customer service skills, their ability to work together and a passion to help raise the money needed to keep Lifeline going.
