The Central Queensland Rural Family Support Service (CQRFSS) helps parents and caregivers identify their strengths, feel confident in their role and keep children safe and well.
Support is for families with children (unborn to under 18) who would benefit from practical help and are not currently in statutory child protection.
How we help: information and referrals; linking families to local services; coaching in routines and parenting; household skills (cooking, menu planning, laundry, time and money management); support around school, health, housing, domestic and family violence, alcohol and other drugs, stress and isolation.
How we work: strengths-based and child-centred; early, practical support (not just in crisis); flexible delivery; partnered with local services to get the right help at the right time.
Where we work: Based in Emerald & Rockhampton and conducting outreach services to the areas of Mt Morgan, Stanwell, Westwood, Arcadia Valley, Rolleston, Springsure & the Central Highlands
Referrals: self referral or partner referrals welcome. There is no cost to access the service
