Former CEO Anne Cross (AM) on Queen’s Birthday Honour

June 11, 2018

UnitingCare Queensland today congratulated former CEO Anne Cross (AM) on her recognition in today’s Queen’s Birthday 2018 Honours List for significant service to the community through social welfare organisations in the government and not-for-profit sectors, and to women.

Anne served as CEO of UnitingCare Queensland for more than 14 years and over that time successfully led the organisation through various periods of change and growth to become one of Queensland’s largest and most successful not-for profit organisations.

Commenting on today’s recognition, current CEO Craig Barke said, “Anne’s commitment to the community has always been unfailing. Over her 14 years with UnitingCare Queensland, she led our organisation with warmth, wisdom and a deep commitment to the people we serve.

“The entire organisation and I extend our congratulations to Anne on her receipt of this very well deserved honour,” he said.

Under Anne’s sound leadership, UnitingCare Queensland continued to achieve its mission to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities through its services delivered by BlueCare, UnitingCare Child and Family services, Lifeline and UnitingCare hospitals.

In 2014 Anne was pivotal in UnitingCare Queensland’s expansion of its service delivery into the Northern Territory through the successful establishment of Australian Regional & Remote Community Services (ARRCS).
