COVID-19 vaccination requirements
Today, UnitingCare, one of Queensland’s largest health, aged care and community service providers, has implemented a requirement for all its people to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Across Queensland, UnitingCare provides service and care across health, community, aged care, retirement living, disability and retail (op-shop) sectors. As a mission-led organisation, our core purpose is to support and improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.
Our commitment to protecting the health and safety of all our people and the people we serve is unwavering. The decision to require all our people to be vaccinated against COVID-19 ensures we are well-positioned to continue providing the highest level of support and care in a safe environment. This decision was made after consultation with our people, stakeholders and relevant authorities and the proposal received support.
Over the last two years, UnitingCare has responded swiftly to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are immensely proud of the adaptability of all our people and their continued efforts to carry on delivering UnitingCare’s services while protecting themselves, each other and the people we serve.
We recognise the ongoing need to adapt and respond to the evolving nature of COVID-19 risks in the community to continue to maintain a safe environment for our people and those they serve.
