Support for children and families in Redcliffe and Caboolture

We are passionate about protecting children and ensuring they feel safe and that their voices are heard. Through therapy, our Specialist Child and Family Program strives to support children who are having a challenging time and help them find positive ways to move forward.

 

Children can be dealing with a number of issues, including:

  • Complex trauma.
  • Emotional, social and behavioural issues.
  • Witnessed or experienced domestic violence.
  • Attachment issues.
  • Sexualised behaviours.
  • Foetal Alcohol Syndrome.
  • ASD and ADHD.

How does Specialist Child and Family Program help?

We offer free counselling for the child, which includes talking to a highly qualified counsellor, as well as play-based therapy. Our program also aims to help parents and carers cope with their own issues and find ways to better support their child.

Who does Specialist Child and Family Program help?

We provide support for children who are aged between three and 18, as well as support for their parents or carers.

How to access Specialist Child and Family Program support

The Specialist Child and Family Program is a free service to clients exclusively referred by Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services from the following Child Safety Service Centres:

  • Caboolture.
  • Morayfield.
  • Redcliffe.
  • Strathpine.

However, our sessions are held only at the UnitingCare offices at Redcliffe and Caboolture.
