School holiday fun for your child
Our Vacation Care Program is a community-based program for school children aged five to 18 years with a diagnosed disability.
We have two locations: Mt Ommaney and Holland Park in Brisbane. Here, we provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, such as:
- Pretend play
- Sensory play
- Water play
- Outdoor play
- Themed days
- Community outings
- Visits to theme parks, zoos and other attractions
Our activities are fun, engaging and educational. We provide a caring and secure environment where each child can develop their physical, intellectual, language, social, emotional and life skills. We aim for each child to become a competent and confident individual.
The program operates for 10 weeks per year during the school holiday periods, excluding the week between Christmas and New Year and the last week of the January holidays.
Our team are friendly, supportive, knowledgeable, skilled, experienced and approachable, and are always willing to grow and learn. We are friendly and approachable and ready to assist you whenever we can. We can provide one-on-one support, depending on your child’s needs and support requirements.
Everyone in our team:
- Has a current Blue Card for working with children
- Possesses qualifications and training in allergies and anaphylaxis, gastrostomy feeding, seizure management, medication administration and behaviour management
"The staff were really friendly, and my daughter was at ease at the centre. Looking forward to the excursions and next holidays!"
Addresses and opening hours

Mt Ommaney Special School
94 Capital Drive
Nursery Road Special School

Fees for our program are $110 per day. As we are a registered child care provider, families are able to use their Centrelink Child Care Rebate (CCR) and Child Care Benefit (CCB) to reduce their fees. Families can also elect for other support organisations to be invoiced for the fees. It is the families’ responsibility to make arrangements for these payments prior to applying for a place for their child in our program.
Our Vacation Care Program is funded by the Federal Department of Social Services.
We will first discuss with you how to best support your child at the Vacation Care Program. This can be done over the phone or we can arrange a meeting. If the Vacation Care Program is suitable for your child, you will need to complete the Application Pack. Applications must be made by the said cut-off date. Late applications will be taken subject to placements and staff availability. No new applications will be processed if previous accounts are not paid in full.
Would you like to volunteer at one of our Vacation Care Programs?
Volunteers support children and young people with disability with their daily care routines including physical support. Volunteers also help to organise activities and support the children on day trips and excursions. The role suits energetic people who are available over the school holidays and love being creative.
