Occupational Therapy is a health profession that looks at assisting people who have a disability with their daily living activities. These activities may include self-care, maintaining a household, actively participating in the community, work, recreation and much more. Occupational Therapists look at how people do their activities by considering their body movements (or mobility), sensory processing needs, thinking skills, and other environmental considerations.

How our Occupational Therapists can help

Our Occupational Therapists aim to help people with a disability to develop as much independence as possible and live a good life. We can come to you or your community in Brisbane and surrounding areas, including Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Warwick. We help provide different solutions with assistive technology (such as aids and equipment), accessing your communication device, home modifications, vehicle modifications and securing more support when you need it.

We can help you explore alternative housing, optimise your environment to suit your sensory preferences and provide practical ideas about how you can build your social and leisure roles. We work closely with you and your family and support network to determine what support is needed to engage in meaningful activities of your choosing.

We can help with:

  • Assistive technology
  • Computer access
  • Home modifications
  • Sensory processing
  • Vehicle modifications
